We are going on another cruise!

Before the world changed drastically in 2020, my mom had a dream to retire and then go on a Viking River Cruise. Well, we all know what happened. She retired and then had to stay home. If you know my mom, she is a social butterfly and I’m sure this has been hard and not how she imagined her retirement was going to be.

Fast forward to end of 2021, when it looks like the world is getting a handle on things, she brought up going on the cruise again. To be honest, I’m not really a “cruise person” and hoped she had forgotten lol. Well, she hadn’t. So, we started contemplating if next year would be a good time to book. Then she says, “well since we will be in Europe, I would like to go to Pairs”. Well, OK!, sure we could do that. Although we are concerned about getting sick and then having to end our adventure early, we are going for it and be safe as possible.

This fall 2022, we are going on the Viking Rhine Gateway Cruise. We are starting in Amsterdam, Netherland, and spending 8 days cruising down the Rhine River that passes through Germany and France and ends in Basel, Switzerland. If all goes well, we will then take the train to Paris and spend a few days there where I get to play tour guide.
